The Diemer's have been landlords since 1996 but started with an owner occupied duplex in Winooski, VT. They now own approximately 180 bedrooms in Burlington, S. Burlington and Winooski. Many located within walking distance to the University of Vermont, Church St. & the Fletcher Allen Healthcare. In 2008 they were voted #1 landlord in a UVM student government sponsored survey. This survey consisted of 28 factors.

In 2000 they purchased a local  tourist motel called the Town and Country Motel.  Although the tourist industry was new to them, they jumped in and successfully operated it for five years. They met many wonderful travelers along the way. Some of those relationships continue today with regular contact with these pasts guests.

In 2006 they de-constructed the Motel and built their first Commercial building called Clock Tower Square. Clock Tower Square's unique architecture was inspired by the Diemer's1877 Victorian home, which has an Italianate tower. Mike Diemer was the General Contractor.  It is a two story retail and office building which is fully occupied by City Lights, (specialty lighting company), Poulos Insurance, and Poulos Advisors. Vermont owned companies.

In 2008 they started Phase II of Clock Tower Square. This is a fourteen unit apartment building consisting of 2 & 3 bedroom units. The Residences at Clock Tower Square are on the Burlington / S. Burlington line close to everything. Presently, the building is completely occupied with a waiting list for upcoming leases.  Again, Mike Diemer acted as General Contractor.

During this time they continued  to grow their apartment rental business with a strong concentration of units in the University/College area rentals.
