IN LOVING MEMORY

Jeffrey Hill Rodliff
February 14, 1981 - January 30, 2005

Residences’ at Clock Tower Square is dedicated to Mike’s youngest

brother Jeff who tragically died in 2005.

Jeff Hill Rodliff was born February 14, 1981; he was the youngest brother

in a family of five, with Mike being the oldest. Jeff graduated from St.

Johnsbury Academy where he excelled academically as well as being the

Captain of the Football team and their Quarterback.

After Graduation, he attended UVM, and was most recently taking classes

in accounting at Champlain College. Jeff was living with his high school

sweetheart in Burlington at the Redstone Apartments.

On January 30, 2005 several residents of the complex started to become

unexpectedly sickened. After a courageous and persistent female

student resident stated something was wrong, the maintenance supervisor

quickly got help from the local Fire and Police departments. They started

to evacuate the building. Jeffrey and his girlfriend Ginger were found

unresponsive in their unit. Jeffrey died at 23.

A total of nine other students were sickened. Ginger was in a coma for 2

weeks and has faced long road to recovery. We are grateful that she had

an incredible internal drive to survive. Within months of her accident she

persuaded lawmakers to create the Jeffrey Hill Rodliff Carbon Monoxide

Law. Fortunately, this law has saved countless lives.
